Katherine Locklear Obituary
Mrs. Katherine Oxendine Locklear, 87, of 151 Vanborn Drive, Lumberton, NC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 30, 2021.
Mrs. Katherine was born September 3, 1934 in Robeson County, NC and was a warm hearted mother, wife and friend. She loved everyone but especially her children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Zeb Locklear; her mother Katie Oxendine and her father, James Tyler Oxendine; three sons, Ricky Locklear, Ronnie Locklear and Mickey Locklear. Ms. Katherine is also preceded in death by a very special sister, Ms. Arthella McGirt and a special bond with her children, Katie Mae Chavis, James Ray McGirt, Carol Sampson and Lisa Thomas.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: one beloved son, Jeffery Locklear of the home; two daughters, Kathy Locklear (Ernest) of Lumberton and Shelia Locklear (Hubert) of Lumberton; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; also a special care-giver, Diane Smith of Lumberton, NC; along with a great host of other relatives and friends.
She shared a very special bond between her son, Jeffrey Locklear and granddaughter, Brittany Lynn Locklear.
