Mrs. Joyce Brayboy Haywood, 77, of 945 Timber Oak Drive, was born on July 17, 1948 to the late William Robert and Pearlie Lee Brayboy, she departed this life on December 15, 2025 in the presence of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Haywood; seven brothers: Marvin Brayboy, Donald Brayboy, Edward R. Brayboy, Charles Lee Brayboy, Robert Brayboy, Clyde Brayboy, and Tommie Brayboy; five sisters: Maggie D. Locklear, Dorothy Gilbeault, Doris Daignault, Jeanette Monte, and Queen Ester Locklear.
She worked at Anvil for 8 years as a supervisor and she later worked at Southeastern Regional Medical Center as a CNA for 7 years. She had a love for kids and enjoyed baking cakes, shopping, attending church, and spending time with her family and friends.
Joyce leaves to cherish her memories her son Johnny Haywood and wife Rebecca, a daughter Allison Lowry and husband Gavin; five grandchildren: Kennedy “Aunt Lilly” Bullard, Kaitlin Haywood, Madison Haywood, Haylee Lowry, and Mason Lowry; five great-grandchildren: Noah, Liam, Luca, Alessandra “Allie” and Axton; two sisters: Shirley Oxendine of Rowland and PaulAnn Dimery of Lumberton; her caretaker of the home Vicky Monte; two special friends Nanette Jennings and Wilma Hammonds and a host of family and friends.
