Joseph “Pie” Locklear, 74, of Pembroke, NC was born July 19, 1950 departed on Wednesday April 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father Carlie Locklear, his mother Lizzie Bell Locklear, a son Marcus Locklear, and two grandsons Calix Martinez and Adrian Martinez, three sisters Martha Hundley, Dorthy Locklear, Ruth Walker, along with one brother Carlie Locklear.

He leaves behind wife Paula Locklear, five children: Kaylean Locklear (RoseMary), Marlina Martinez (Santos), Chasity Locklear, Justina Gomez (Tino), and Taylor Locklear; twelve grandchildren and one of them: Kinsla who had his heart, Pat Sanderson and Barbara Carter, one brother Eddie Arnold Locklear and several nieces and nephews, and an enormous host of family and friends.

Mr. Locklear became an electrician at the age of 21. He was listed as the youngest person to receive electrical license in Robeson County. Mr. Locklear was a smart, hard-working, devoted husband and father. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. He was considered as a walking legend (pie baby) and will be missed by many.
