Mr. Joseph I. Hunt (Joe), 81, of 791 Hezekiah Road, Pembroke, NC was born to the late Peter Hunt and Etta Jane Hunt on November 1, 1944 and departed this life on June 16, 2026 at UNC Health Southeastern.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Hunt of 56 years followed by four brothers, Mr. Enarris Harris, Mr. Earl Hunt, Mr. Bobby Earl Hunt, and Mr. Gurney Hunt.

Mr. Joseph leaves behind two loving children, Mrs. Julia J. Hunt Dial (Jeffrey), Joseph K. Hunt (Dora Deese), one sister Carrie M. Jones (Russell), and one brother, Gerald D. Hunt (Ruth), six loving grandchildren, Christian B. Locklear, Aslyn R. Lowry, Sequoia G. Dial, Joseph E. Hunt, Colin L. Hunt, and Alexander A. Dial, extended family and friends are too numerous to count, but he cherished his relationships with each of them.

Joseph was a devout Christian and member of Prospect United Methodist Church, whomever he approached he would he would uplift them to the Lord. He was a very unique and humble and loving man and his presence will surely be missed on this earth.
