It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Joan Hunt, age 70, on March 21, 2025. Joan was a humble, strong, and gracious woman whose life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her deep devotion to God.

Born in Lumberton, NC, Joan lived a life of faith, love and service. A devoted Christian, she was a steadfast believer whose faith was the foundation of her life. Joans’ love for God and her family was evident in all she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Rudolph and Elaine Oxendine, her husband, Bobby Hunt, a daughter, Monica Hunt and a brother, Eddie Oxendine.

Joan is survived by a daughter, Laura Hunt (Justin), of Herndon, Virginia, a son, Paul Hunt (Crystal) of Lumberton, one brother, Frankie Paul of Lumberton, two grandsons, Jared Hunt of Fairmont, and James Paul Hunt of Lumberton, two granddaughters, Caitlin Hunt and Jada Hunt, both of Lumberton, three great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Joans’ memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever and she will be deeply missed.
