Joan Bellamy

Joan C. L. Bellamy age 69 of Pembroke was born March 5, 1954 and departed this life April 18, 2023. 

Joan is preceded in death by her parents Brady and Marcella Carter, by her late husband Willie E. Locklear, her brothers, Tommy Carter, Earl Carter, Stanley Carter and her sisters, Betty Carter, Jane Carter and Judy Carter.

Mrs. Bellamy leaves to cherish her memory, her husband (Monkey Man) Tommy Bellamy of the home. Her children, William Carter (Brooke) of Laurinburg N.C, Larry Chavis of Lumberton N.C, Brandon Locklear (Janet) of Zebulon N.C, Corey Locklear of the home, Azièr-di Locklear of Lumberton N.C, Lael Locklear of the home and Joclyn Martin (Mark) of Virginia.

Her Grandchildren: Hilary, Alexandria, MaKayela, Jeremiah, Breanna, Matthew, Michelle and Maya.

Her Brothers: Braddy Carter (Ellen) of Concord N.C, Michael Carter of Concord N.C, Tony Carter of Fayetteville N.C., and her sister Margaret McMillian of Lumberton N.C.

Joan was loved by many, and this is a special devotion from her husband:

My beautiful and loving wife, however brief our time together, you profoundly changed me with your love. Faithfully you stood by me through the hard times and joyous times. Forever my greatest supporter. My heart grieves to have you no longer physically by my side, but I rejoice that you have found everlasting peace. I am comforted knowing that one day we will be reunited again. Until then I will keep your memory and beautiful spirit at heart; and celebrate your wonderful life.
