Jessie James Hunt, "Jack", age 85, of Lumberton, NC departed his journey Thursday, February 13, 2025, at UNC Southeastern Medical Center. He was born to the late Walter and Bonnie Hunt. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Ella Mae Hunt, "Duke", a sister, Barbara Hunt, a brother, Ned Hunt and a great granddaughter Whitney Taylee Bowen. 

He leaves to cherish his three daughters, Helen Rose Burns (Billy) of Lumberton, Teisha Jernigan (Josh) of the home, and Keisha Deese (Mark) of Rowland, two sons Tony Hunt of Lumberton, and James Hunt (Linda) of Fairmont, eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, five sisters, Betty Jean Goins, Bonnie Faye Bullock, Shevie Jean Locklear, Linda Joyce Goins (Gerald), Janice Oxendine (Walter), all of Fairmont, and Linda Faye Locklear of Raeford, four brothers, Walter Hunt, Jr., Vernon Jimmy Hunt, Thomas Earl Hunt and Anthony Hunt (Carol) all of Fairmont, NC and a host of family and friends.
