Jeannette Butler Clark was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and dear friend to so many. She departed this world peacefully on September 8, 2021, at 11:44pm at age 79.
She was born to Mattie Bell and Marvin Butler on May 20, 1942, in Lumberton NC, a place she called home for most of her life.
She enjoyed cooking for our epic family gatherings offering up some of her favorite dishes which included Chicken-N-Pastry, stuffing and her famous cakes that were beyond compare and was always a family favorite. She also enjoyed tending to her small garden with her always faithful companions “Mattie” & Precious” by her side. Those that met her would recall how she made everyone feel so special and how so very sweet she was.
Aunt Jeannette’s infectious smile had a way of lighting up any room and she will truly be missed. However, I’m sure that Grandma Mat, Charlie Brown and Boo Man were there waiting for her to welcome her to her glorious home with open arms.
Jeannette is survived her children, Son, Marvin T. Butler (Alicia) of Raleigh, Two Grandchildren Thomas Daniel Butler and Matthew Aaron Butler. Daughter Teresa Jones (Fiancé Craig) of the Home. Two siblings, Carolyn B. Chavis (Kermit Jr.) of Lumberton and Carl Dixon (Buddy) Butler (Carelene) of Lumberton as well. She also had a host of nephews, nieces and countless friends!
