Tom worked with his hands all his life building and fixing any and everything. If you could envision it, he could without a doubt bring it to life even better than you ever imagined. He would always tell us that there was nothing he couldn’t fix, and through the years seeing the countless houses he worked on, projects completed and things that he built by hand from scratch, proved that to be true and we knew that there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He also loved to fish when he found the time. He loved his grandbabies and would tell you all about them any time he had the chance. He was definitely one of a kind, and even in his final days he was still cracking jokes, trying his best to make everyone else laugh. His sickness never took his spirit, his humor, his love for his family and his friends and not once did it budge his faith. He was a great husband, brother, friend, and the absolute best daddy and papa. To anyone who knew him he was already one foot out the door when anyone needed help. He will be missed greatly all the rest of our days by his family and friends.
We find comfort and peace in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of Jesus, finally cancer free.
The family will receive friends and loved ones both days at his daughter’s home at 2117 East 7th Street, Lumberton, NC.
