Mr. James “Bo” Earl Strickland, age 54 of Lumberton, NC was born July 22, 1970, in Baltimore, Maryland and entered his heavenly home Sunday December 15, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern of Lumberton.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Frank and Nancy Strickland and one brother Robert “Bobby” Lee Strickland.

Bo was a dedicated hard worker who had the natural ability to meet people and love them effortlessly. He was proud of his family and loved them deeply. Bo will be missed by all his relatives and many friends.

Bo leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 26 years Melissa Huggins Strickland of the home; two daughters Carrie Shenae Hunt of Lumberton NC; Tehya Morgan Strickland of the home. mother-in-law Barbara Lowery Huggins of the home and a father-in-law Jerry Lee Huggins of Marion, SC and a brother-in-law Bobby Cox of Marion, SC. Two brothers Ronnie Strickland (Sharon), Frankie Strickland (Lois) of Lumberton, NC. Three sisters Brenda Walters (Rev. Johnny Walters), Ruth Mustoe (Dwight), and Jean Strickland Lowery (Dennis) of Lumberton, NC.

Two special sisters-in-laws Teresa Locklear of Lumberton, NC, Savannah Renee Campbell (Thomas) of Lumberton, NC. Two special brothers-in-law Dickie Strickland of Lumberton, NC, David Earl Hunt (Katie).

Special loves: one grandson whom he cherished dearly Axston Brody Ray, one special niece Jalin Alexis Campbell. Five special brothers Lil-Jon Locklear, Joshua Canady, Mark Canady, Eric Canady, and Rodney Jacobs.
