James Calvin Pevia

James Calvin Pevia, son of the late Mildred Hunt Pevia and Calvin Pevia, was born on December 18, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this Earth on July 25th, 2022, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

James was a people-person in the purest sense of the word. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met and like all the Pevia family, he never met a stranger. Whether he had known you for five years or five minutes, he would talk to you all the same. James was loved by all those who met him and possessed more talent than most people dream of. His special smile, warm embrace and caring heart will be missed.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Hunt Pevia and father, Calvin Pevia.

 James is survived by his son, Jordan Christian Pevia and wife, Alley Bowen Pevia; sister, Kim Adrienne Pevia; brother, Shon Carlis Pevia, and wife, Monica Brock Pevia; niece, Taylor Nicole Pevia; nephew, Shon Noah Pevia; great nieces and great nephews; stepmother, Ann Brewer Pevia; and a host of family and friends.
