James "Jimmy" Milligan, 69, of 159 Richy Drive, Pembroke, NC went to his heavenly home on August 4, 2026. James was born on May 5, 1957.

He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him. James previously worked at Fleetwood and at Maynor Center Store. He was a hard worker and humble man who loved making others laugh and lifting spirits. His kindness, sense of humor, and love for those around him will always be remembered. He enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time playing games on his phone. 

He was a devoted father who dedicated his life to providing love, guidance, and support to his sons: James Milligan, Shawn Dial, Shea Newton, Marcus Brayboy, and Chad Brayboy; seventeen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

He is survived by his brother Roy and sister Wendy. He will also be missed by a host of extended family members and dear friends whose lives he touched throughout the years. 

James was preceded in death by his mother Anne "Pumpkin" Rogers and grandson James Austin Milligan.
