James McGirt Obituary
Mr. James Howard McGirt, 89, of 345 Sunrise Road, Pembroke, NC, was born October 9, 1932 to the late Mr. Danny H. McGirt and Mrs. Mattie Bell McGirt. Mr. James went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary Hazel McGirt; a son, Dexter McGirt; a grandson, James Rogerick McGirt and a granddaughter, Whitney McGirt; two sisters, Dovie Johnson and Ann St. Martin; two brothers, Danny L. McGirt and Barney H. McGirt.
James is survived by his two daughters, Donna M. Locklear of the home and Deneas M. Locklear (Anthony) of Pembroke; a son, Robert James McGirt of Pembroke; two brothers, Ed McGirt of VA and David McGirt of MD; two sisters, Viola Herndon of Red Springs and Doris M. Worley of MD; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Mrs. Mary Ronada McGirt Wesson of Pembroke and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
