Mr. James Douglass McDonald departed this earthly life on Saturday, February 22, 2025 with his wife holding his hand and surrounded by his loving family at his bedside.

He was born on 9 December 1963, to Robert and Addie Mae McDonald in Lumberton, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his son, James McDonald II, his Father, Robert McDonald, Mother, Allie Mae McDonald, Sisters, Carolyn Stocks, and Lizzie Thompson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Mrs. Barbara Jean Reed McDonald, Sisters, Janiffer (Alexander) Drayton, Tonya (Jimmy Lee) Baxley, Michelle (Gordon) Wright all of Lumberton, North Carolina, Brothers, Robert (Rosa) McDonald of Lexington, South Carolina and Ronald (Tameka) McDonald of Lumberton, North Carolina, Brother-in- Jamie (Jennifer) Reed of Saint Pauls, North Carolina and Sister-in-Law Patrica (Craig) of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, a Special son/nephew Cory Reed and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
