Mr. James Edward Locklear Jr. of Lumberton, NC departed this life on March 11, 2024. James was born to James & Elizabeth Locklear of Pembroke.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 30 years, Roslyn Burnett Locklear; their sons, William Locklear of Colorado, Ethan Locklear (Terrika) of Lumberton. Evan Locklear (Redonda) of Lumberton, and Sean Locklear of the home; his grandchildren, Elayna & William of Colorado; his brother, Eric Locklear of Lumberton; his sister, Cathy Jones (Eric) of St. Pauls; his brother, James Clark (Nancy) of Virginia; brother by choice, Dale Locklear of Lumberton; and a host of relatives and friends.
So much can be said about James, but we will keep this short and sweet. He was a hard-working man. James loved his job at LREMC where he worked for many years, and he loved his co-workers. He loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. As one of his friends said, “He’d give you the shirt off his back and never expect it back.”
