Ila Jacobs Obituary
Mrs. Ila Jacobs, 77, a resident of Lumberton Health and Rehabilitation Center of Lumberton, NC, departed this life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. She was born in Robeson County on April 16, 1943. She was a devoted member of Benson Chapel Church until her health failed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sanford (Bill) Jacobs; her mother, Viola Sanderson; her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Tommie Sanderson; one daughter, Janice Marie Jones; three sons, Dallas Hunt, Datris Jr. Hunt and Benford Hunt; one grandson, Danny Lance Jones and one sister, Quessie Marks. Also preceded in death by Datris Hunt, ex-husband of first marriage.
Mrs. Jacobs leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Marilyn Marie Hunt (Maurice); two sons, Jamie Hunt and Tommie Hunt all of Lumberton, NC; seven stepchildren, Billy D. Jacobs, Stevie D. Jacobs, Elizabeth A. Chavis, Rose M. Jacobs, Anita L. Jacobs, Gloria A. Hunt and Sabrina Hunt; two sisters, Frances Lewis of Lumberton, NC and Reber Sanderson of Rowland, NC; ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; a special friend Edith Jones and a host of relatives and friends.
