Howard Chavis Obituary
Mr. Howard Chavis, 73, of Deep Branch Road, Lumberton, NC departed this life on December 2, 2022. He was born in Robeson County on July 19, 1949.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earlist and Emma Mae Chavis; his wife, Marilyn Harris Chavis; and four brothers, Ernest Chavis, Austin “Sandy” Chavis, Ralph Chavis, and Martin Chavis.
Mr. Chavis is survived by one son, John Alford Chavis (Lena); one daughter, Amy Carol Cox (Shane); two grandsons, Austin Cox and Matthew Cox; one sister, Agnes Mitchell (Harry), of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Bobby Chavis, of Lumberton, NC; and a host of family and friends.
