Horace Oxendine was born April 25, 1959 in Lumberton, NC to the late Sylina Oxendine Locklear. Horace was called home, Tuesday, April 8, 2025 after being ill for several months.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylina Oxendine Locklear.

Horace is survived by his children, Sylina (Lacy) Lambert, Horace Jr (Tina) Oxendine, Heather (Gavin), Papa and Corey Strickland, siblings, Cat Locklear, Buddy Oxendine, and Shirlene Oxendine, his favorite aunt, Flora Dial twelve grandchildren, Kensley, Tehya, Jayla (Jada Bug), Landon, Jason, Layden, Jeremiah Lambert, Braylon Oxendine, Ganiya, Halaya, Gavin (Bug), Mason Caleb Oxendine, and Malachi Strickland, four great-grandchildren, Zaide, Zander, Dacen, and Tinley, a host of nieces, nephews, special family and friends.

Horace loved spending time and sharing laughs with his family. His love for music was indescribable. Surfing facebook for the latest news was one of his favorite pastimes. He spent 40 years providing vinyl siding services to the community, a community where he never met a stranger. He will be missed by everyone.
