Dobbs Oxendine Jr., age 87, passed away on February 11, 2026. He completed his earthly journey and is now resting in eternal peace.
Known to many simply as Dobbs, he lived life on his own terms. He was steady, independent, and deeply rooted in his values. He was the founder and owner of Dobbs Enterprise. He was a respected pillar in the drag racing community. Dobbs also served in tribal leadership, where he was respected for his presence, influence, and commitment to community.
Dobbs was preceded in death by his father, Dobbs Oxendine Sr.; his mother, Prebble Marie Oxendine; and his son, Tim Oxendine.
He is survived by his children: Brion Oxendine (Alisia), Kimberly Oxendine (Wes), Melissa Oxendine, Glenn Locklear (Betty), Channel Oxendine, Austin Oxendine, Dobbie Oxendine, and Bobbie Oxendine; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving sister, Bobbie Ann Sampson (Steve).
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Anita, his longtime companion; to Destiny Lowry, his hospice nurse, for her care and presence; and to Ray Lowry, for his devoted friendship and steady support.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 21st from 2:00–5:00 p.m. at 402 Venue, North Pine Street.
