Hazel Campbell

   Mrs. Hazel Jacobs Campbell, age 89, of Fairmont, NC departed this life on Friday, June 4, 2021 at home surrounded by family and friends receiving her eternal reward with our Lord and Savior.

   She was born June 23, 1931 in Robeson County to the late Henry Allen and Martha Clark Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49-year, Joseph Lowell Campbell, her son Joseph Berry Campbell, her son Willie Ray Campbell, grandson Damian Lowell Campbell, great-granddaughter Mara Flores, six brothers and three sisters.

   She is survived by her daughter Rosie (Clennie) Jones of Fairmont, Timothy (Ella) Campbell of Maxton, grandson Joseph Campbell of the home, grandson Robert Campbell & Shelby McCall of the home, ten grandchildren, thirty great grands, eight great great grands and her adopted sister Bernice Hunt of Lumberton.

   In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of other family and friends. Also, left to remember all the joyous times are all of her adopted children and grandchildren, which are too many to name them all. Her house was the gathering place for all who wanted to come and enjoy coffee, food, and laughter. Her door was always open for anyone even if they had nowhere to stay. For her grands and great grands her house was their other home and her rules were followed with the enforcement of the energizer. Even today, the energizer has never been forgotten.
