Gwendolyn Ouertani

Gwendolyn Lynette Minor Ouertani, 50, departed this life on June 14, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC

   Gwen was born on October 27, 1969 at the same hospital which was then known as Southeastern General.  She always loved spending time with family and friends in fellowship.  Growing up she spent many summers with her grandmother, Macie Barnes, in Fairmont, NC.  And even though she graduated from Cape Fear High School in Fayetteville, NC, she still considered Robeson County home.

   She was preceded in death by her dad, Mr. Randolph L. Minor, and her one-hour old daughter, Taylor Celeste.  She is survived by her mother, Ms. Betty Barnes-Johnson (Goldsboro, NC); two uncles, Mr. Allen Barnes (Fairmont, NC) and Mr. Tommy Barnes (Charlotte, NC); one aunt, Mrs. Judith Ann McLamb (Fairmont, NC); two sisters, Donna Johnson (Mechanicsburg, PA) and Christina Johnson (Goldsboro, NC); four nieces, Alexandria (Ally) (VA), Tyiesha (Jazz) and Dynasia (both from NC), and Savannah (Sissy) (VA); two nephews, Christopher (Ryan) (NC) and Eric (Deuce) (FL); three great nephews and a host of bonus family and friends.
