Mrs. Gladys A. Collins, 72, of 1109 Faith Rd. Pembroke was called home to meet her Savior on January 4, 2021. She was born on April 14, 1948 to the late Johnny and Sally Maynor Allen.
She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in her heart at the early age of 16 years old and was a devoted Christian and cofounder and member of Victory Holiness Church, where she was also mother of the church. She taught Sunday school for 50 years and was choir director for many years. She was not only a beloved sister to 11 siblings but a mother to most of them as well.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Dwayne (Judy) of Pembroke, NC; and one sister, Alisa Allen of Pembroke, NC.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of the home, Harold Collins; two daughters, Angela Locklear (Nelson), Kitery Collins both of Lumberton, NC; one son, Patrick Collins (Brandy) of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren, Ashley Locklear, Maegan Locklear, Serenity Collins, and John Collins; nine brothers, Eugene Allen of Cloverdale, VA, John Dale Allen, Stanley Allen ,Brantley Allen (Anita), Harold Dean Allen (Joyce), Willie Allen (Melody) all of Pembroke, Danny Allen (Myra), Mark Allen, John Timothy Allen (Judy) all of Lumberton; a special aunt, Jerlene Maynor of Lumberton; and a special friend, Ms. Betty Locklear of Red Springs; she also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
