It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Geraline Oxendine, who departed this life on July 4th 2026 at the age of 83.
Geraline was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She dedicated herself to creating a warm and welcoming home, offering unwavering love, guidance and support to those she held dear. Her kindness, compassion and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Beyond her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a woman who cherished the things that brought her happiness. She loved cooking family meals, spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, and creating memories with the people she loved most.
She will be remembered for her generous heart, warm smile, and the grace with which she cared for others. Her legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by two sons Craig (Karen) Oxendine, Stacy Oxendine and one daughter Berri Lynn (Tony) Lambert. Her grandchildren Latasha, Loreal, Tony Jr, Joseph and four great grandchildren (Courtney, Kayleigh, Aubriegh and Maliah) and an honorary grandchild Lakayla Chavis, one sister, Genner Locklear and one brother, Eartle B. Scott as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Berry Oxendine, her parents Hilton and Elizabeth Scott; and siblings Rabon Scott, Hilton Scott Jr., Evelyn Scott, Alton Scott, Catherine Jacobs, Mattie Neil Oxendine and Wanda Scott.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the beautiful example she set will remain in the hearts of those who loved her forever.
