Mr. Gary Curtis Strickland, Sr. of Pembroke, NC was born on September 4, 1946 and departed this life on September 7, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marl Woods and John L. Strickland and two brothers, Robert Mitchell Strickland and John Strickland.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Deon (Carmen) Strickland of Winston-Salem, NC, Gary (Hope) Strickland, Jr. of Pembroke, NC, Oliver (Krista) Schneider of Fairmont, NC; two daughters, Adrianne (Eric) Hunt of Pembroke, NC, and Rachel Vasquez of Pembroke, NC; ten grandchildren, Lauren, Ross, Taley, Jenna, Jonathan, Phillip, Gillian, Olivia, Darren, Ethan, and Sophia; four brothers, Randal Strickland, Larry Pete Strickland, Marcus L. Strickland, and Russel Strickland; and three sisters, Diane Knight, Linda Revels, and Vicky Joyce Locklear.
He was a man of many words. He was the He’Bull of our family. He was our spiritual heart. He was a wonderful brother, father, and friend too many. He will be missed!
