Mr. Freeman Carter, Jr, age 71, of Lumberton, NC was born to Freeman and Ella Jane Carter on October 8, 1954, in Robeson County departed this life on February 3, 2025, in Cape Fear Valley Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman Carter, and Ella Jane Carter and a sister Myrtle Rose Locklear.

He is survived by his daughter Ginger Rose Carter, his grandchildren, Zion Grass, Hannah Miller, Courtney Powell, and MaLik Carter all of Saint Petersburg, Florida, a brother, Leon Carter, sisters, Vivian Faye Drew, Pandor Carter, Sylvia Carter Dial, Cynthia Chavis, all of Lumberton, and Bonnie Smith of Winston Salem, NC and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving family and friends at 1001 Piney Grove Road, Lumberton, NC, 28360.
