Freddie Locklear Obituary
Freddie Lee Locklear, 85, departed this life at his home on November 15, 2023. He was born June 20, 1938, in Robeson County.
He was preceded in death by his son, W. Craig Locklear.
Fred leaves behind to treasure his memories his wife, Jane Locklear of 63 years; three grandsons, Brandon Locklear, Daniel Locklear, and Spencer Reza; one daughter, Becky Reza, and her husband Michael Reza.
Fred grew up in the Prospect Community in the home of Mr. Gaston and Mrs. Bertha Locklear. During that time, he was part of Preston Chapel Church and Prospect School. He also gave twenty-five years to his country serving in the US Navy. During this time, he and his family spent time in Japan and several ports in Virginia. After retiring he and his family moved back home to Robeson County. Fred enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching car racing and all things sports.
