Franklin Chavis Obituary
Mr. Franklin Chavis 66, of 2330 Lowe Road Lumberton, NC departed this life on Saturday November 23, 2019.
Mr. Chavis was born on October 6, 1953 to Ella Rose Chavis and the late Willie Chavis.
He was a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed planting a garden every year, his favorite being cucumbers and sunflowers. His other passion was wood work and building items for the people he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Chavis; and sister, Debra “Debbie” Chavis.
Surviving are his mother, Ella Rose Chavis; two brothers, Michael (Carolyn Sue) Chavis of Lumberton, NC and Andre (Christina) Chavis of Benson, NC; his beloved dog, Jekyll; and a host of family and friends.
Franklin didn’t have any biological kids, but he helped shape the lives of his nieces and nephews.
