Obituary
Foncell Locklear Baker, 64, of Pembroke, NC, departed this life at her home peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2023. She was born on March 3, 1959 in Lumberton, NC.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Grace Locklear.
Foncell leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Donald Kenneth Baker Jr. of 44 years; four children, Melissa Baker, Joseph Baker (Natasha), Ashleigh Baker and Amanda Miller (Anthony) and her 11 grandchildren, all of Pembroke; two sisters, Phylis Ann Locklear of Pembroke and Betty Jane Sykes of Fayetteville.
Foncell was a devoted wife and mother who retired from UNCP after working there for over 20 years. She always enjoyed her family time and always the life of the party.
