Ms. Fennie L. Oxendine of 3425 N. Chicken Rd, Lumberton, NC, was born on May 25, 1957 to the late Nathaniel and Clara Locklear. She departed this life on January 3, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Oxendine; her parents, Nathaniel and Clara Locklear; her brothers, Dr. Von S. Locklear and Keith Locklear; three sisters, Paula Locklear, Tina Locklear and Joyce Dial.
Fennie was a faithful member of Greater Hope International Church. For over 40 years she worked as a Social Worker which was her love and compassion. She worked in Administration at several facilities in Robeson County (Kingsdale, Pemberton Place and Wesley Pines). She retired from Robeson County Dept of Social Services as a Supervisor in the Adult Protected Services in April 2020. She also served on several "nursing boards and county boards", etc.
Fennie leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Adam (Sedina) Oxendine of Maxton, NC; one daughter, Kristen Oxendine of the home; one brother, Kenneth (Tammy) Locklear of Maxton, NC; three sisters, Linda Moore of Maxton, NC, Sue (Jerry) Locklear of Red Springs, Frances (Kelly) Smith of Maxton; one special grandson, Master Jaxxon G. Oxendine; special friends, Jason Baker and Carol Locklear and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
