Farella Oxendine, born in Robeson County to the late Huse and Bessie Locklear on September 9, 1937. She was a faithful member of New Point Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was also a member of the drama team.
Farella was preceded in death by her husband, Lenord Oxendine, her parents, Huse and Bessie Locklear, one brother, Frank Locklear, two sisters, Sarah Lois Campbell, and Anie Lois Hammonds.
She is survived by her devoted sisters, Lena Tubbs Carter and Betty Fay Scott, a brother, Earlie B, Locklear (Brenda), a devoted caregiver, Gloria Hammonds, several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
