Eric Locklear, 55, of 379 Jones Road Pembroke, NC was born on February 13, 1970 to Marion Strickland Locklear and Bernice Locklear. Eric went home to be with our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ on Monday morning, October 20, 2025. He was preceded in death by his son, Kaleb Ridge Locklear: maternal grandparents, Nathan Strickland and Willo Dean Oxendine Strickland: paternal grandparents, Earnest Locklear and Dorothy (Riley) Bullard Locklear.

Eric is survived by his mother, Marion S. Locklear and his father, Bernice Locklear of Prospect: one sister, Katrina L. Brewington (Brian) of Pembroke: one daughter, Erica Marissa Locklear: one son, Christopher Devon Locklear: four nieces, Kairon, Shakori, Briannon, Verah: one nephew, Branston: three granddaughters, Jada, Stori, Journee: four grandsons: Erickson, Joshton, Axton, Jacobi: Special friends, Lynn Oxendine and Kimberly Steen. Eric was a devoted employee at True Value Hardware/Curt’s for 30 years, where he took great pride in serving his community. He found joy in helping others with their household needs and always tried to save them money. His kindness, dedication and generous spirit touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Eric loved camping and fishing with his closest friends. Now, he’s enjoying those cherished moments in heaven’s most beautiful campgrounds.
