Mrs. Elvira "Ellie" Hammonds Locklear, 65, of 4578 West Carthage Road, Lumberton, NC 28360 was born on February 9, 1960, in Baltimore, Md. She departed this life on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at UNC Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Kenneth (Kenny) Locklear, parents, Walter Neal and Odessa Hammonds, one brother, Walter Elbert Hammonds, one sister, Elvida Hammonds.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons, Kendrick Hammonds Locklear, and Kasey Neal (Amber) Locklear, one sister, Yvonne Carter "Sis", and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
