Earl Hardin Obituary

Earl Junior Hardin, 80, of Lumber Bridge departed this life on February 11, 2025. He was born on April 9, 1944, to the late Earl and Bretha Hardin.

He was preceded in death by his father Earl, mother Bretha, sisters, Betty Smith, Christine Bell, brothers, Clyde Smith, and Horace Hardin.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Brenda Hardin of the home, one son Stoney of the home, one grandson, Scott (Jasmine), of Lumber Bridge, three sisters, Mary Crowford, Linda (Threal), Carolyn (Levon), all of Lumberton, one brother, Danny Hardin of Lumberton, special brothers-in-law, Lewis Bullard, and Daniel Bullard of Lumberton, Martin Brewington of Pembroke, and a host of nieces and nephews that were very special to him, and the light of his life, and special friends, Mr. Wayer Britt and Mr. John Gray.

Mr. Hardin worked at Burlington Industries for five years. They in appreciation with recognition, presented him with a certificate for five years of service. He also worked for Blue Ridge Trucking in High Point, where he drove trucks fpr eighteen years. He also worked at Croft Metal and the Robesonian Newspaper. He retired after 12 years.

Earl was best known for sitting outside in his swing and listening to his radio. His favorite pastime was working in the yard and in the garden. He was known for putting a smile on your face no matter how bad your day was. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who came in contact with him.
