Dylan Lee Jacobs, 9, of Hope Mills, NC gained his wings on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Dylan was born on February 15, 2014, in Cumberland County. He was the son of Tad Phillip Jacobs Sr. and Kathy Lee Jacobs.
Dylan was a third grader at Gallberry Farm Elementary School. He loved going to school and seeing all the staff, his teachers, classmates, his best friends, Gavin and CJ, and his resource classes. Dylan, who was often called “Dill Pickle”, was an extremely loving child, spreading love with all the warm hugs he gave. Dylan enjoyed playing outdoor activities such as riding his bike, jumping on the trampoline and swinging on his swing set. He also enjoyed playing his Nintendo Switch, playing with his Thomas the Train set and dancing and singing with his mom.
He always had his own way of figuring things out, especially when it came to building things with his magnetic blocks or tracks.
He loved camping in the RV and spending days on the lake. While on the lake, Dylan had a major role as co-captain, helping his dad navigate and drive the boat. He loved beaching the boats and playing with his cousins in the water.
Dylan liked eating spaghetti, pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries, Oreo cookies and captain crunch berries. His favorite movies were all the Cars movies, Sonic, The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Puss in Boots.
