Mrs. Dwyla Ann Locklear, 58, went to her heavenly home on June 7, 2026.
Dwyla lived a happy life. She loved God, fishing, and her grandchildren.  Though she may be gone, her unbreakable spirit will still live in our hearts. We will cherish the memories we shared forever.



Mrs. Locklear was born on December 27, 1967 in Robeson County NC. To the late Edward and Annie Hammonds. She loved her family with all her heart, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time together. When she wasn’t spending time with her family her favorite passion was praising God and fishing.


Dwyla is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Annie Hammonds.



She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Dale Locklear, son Travis Hammonds (Danyell Hammonds) son Edward Hammonds (Christina Hammonds) Daughter Whitney Locklear (James Lowery) son Dale J Locklear and Daughter Hope Hammonds.  Mrs. Locklear is also survived by her sisters and brothers: Cheryl & Theodore Locklear, Marie & Roger Lee Hunt, Jr., Dwight & Penny Hammonds, Edward Hammonds and her grandchildren: Wyatt Locklear, Jayce Lowery, Trevor Hammonds, Travis Bullard and 1 unborn granddaughter, Kaydiance, Kendrick, Ruby and Autasty Mariano. Also survived by 5 nephews and 6 nieces.



The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Scotland Hospice for excellent and compassionate care they provided Dwyla.
