Dwayne Hunt Obituary
Dwayne Hunt was born November 6, 1966, in Robeson County and departed this life on November 10, 2023, at his home, completing his journey of 51 years.
Dwayne is preceded in death by his parents, Vardell and Zelma Hunt, and two brothers, Timothy Hunt and Bruce Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberly Hunt; his daughter, Morgan Cheyenne Hunt whom he loved unconditionally; his nephew, Braylon Moses Ivey who was more like a son; his brothers, Vardell Hunt (Diana), and Samuel Hunt (Amanda); his sister, Gwyn Cox (Rany); several nieces and nephews whom he thought the world of; a special mentor and friend, Larry T. Roberts who was more like a Dad.
Dwayne retired from the Town of Pembroke after 20+ years, the last two serving as Interim Police Chief. After retirement he proceeded to do what he loved and enjoyed the most, working on the farm. The last years of his life he worked for Converse Logistics Group as a truck driver. Dwayne had a big heart; he loved his family and friends.
