Dr. Kathy Cummings, departed her earthly home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 69 and entered into the pearly gates to be with her Lord and Savior.

Dr. Kathy was born in Kentucky on October 15, 1956. She was a beloved mother, nana, sister, and friend. She lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for God and others. She never met a stranger. She earned her Doctorate in Social Services and dedicated her career to helping those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, believing in hope, healing, and second chances.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Reverend Coolidge Cummings and Vanice Cummings; her nephew, Michael Cummings II; and her great-niece, Mia Grace Chavis. She is survived by her daughter, Danyel Jolicoeur and husband Jonathan, and son, Darryl Locklear II and wife Summer, grandchildren: Naomi, Jonathan Jr., Dashiell, Boaguris, Layken, and soon-to-arrive Haven Jane; her siblings: Samuel Cummings and wife Amy; Mike Cummings and wife Barbara; Teresa Hunt and husband Reverend Christopher; Yvonne Locklear and husband Stan; and Kenwin Cummings and wife Darlene; and host of extended family and friends. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and unconditional love will live on forever.
