Dora Lowery Obituary
Dora Lowery, 89, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on December 30, 2021.
Dora Lowery is survived by her three daughters, Peggy Hunt, Connie Baker, and Mary Alice Oxendine, eight sons, James Ray Lowery, Dennis Lowery, Chester Lowery, Larry Lowery, Donnie Lowery, Jimmy Lowery, Carl Lowery, and George Alexander Lowery, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Quessie Locklear, one brother, Luther Locklear (Buddy). She is also preceded in death by her husband Marvin Lowery and one son, Terry Lowery.
Dora Lowery was born in Robeson County on January 5, 1932. She spent her life as a wonderful homemaker and dedicated countless volunteer hours to Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She attended Deep Branch Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nancy J. Locklear and Jennifer Henderson for being caretakers to Mrs. Dora Lowery.
