Deresa Dare Hunt 52, of 303 Turner Road Pembroke, NC 28372, was born March 31, 1973 and departed this life on August 8, 2025.

Deresa leaves to cherish her memories, her father Henry Luther Hunt (Rosa), her mother Sarah Ellen Hunt, brother Donovan Blake Hunt (Meagan), son Malcolm Colby Watson and daughter Morgan Dale Watson, three nephews Malachi, Chase, and Tacoma, and two nieces Jaya and Hermione. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories a host of close cousins and friends.

She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1995. While at Carolina, Deresa was in the first pledge class of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Incorporated called The Fifteen Warrior Women 1995.

Deresa cherished her role as “Aunt Deresa” to her beloved nieces and nephew, showering them with affection, adventures and more than a few good laughs. She also treasured time spent with her many friends, who became like family. No matter the situation, Deresa filled every moment with humor and heart. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love and the reminder to find joy in life’s simple moments. Her absence leaves an ache that will be felt forever, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
