Dennis L. Stevens was the son of Christine and Ruvain Stevens. He was born on March 2, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior as well as his beloved wife, Brenda Stevens who he called his sugar, on November 26, 2025, after a lengthy battle of fighting cancer for six years.
Dennis completed his education through Baltimore City Public Schools and shortly after he began his 33-year career in Masonry. He loved being able to create new designs and had a great love for the industry. He was very proud to showcase his work all throughout the city. He loved being able to watch his favorite shows, anything car or motorcycle related as well as National Geographic. He was a very knowledgeable person. Dennis was a man of little words but an extremely big heart. He loved his family dearly. He loved being a father and especially a grandfather. Dennis lived in Baltimore City until he met his wife Brenda Stevens where he resided in Harford County, Maryland with his family until 2018. He then moved to Lumberton, NC to be a support for his beloved wife.
Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Stevens, his brother, Derek Stevens and sister-in-law, Tavy Stevens.
Dennis leaves to cherish his memories, his children, John Charles Cummings, Penny Sue Cummings, Jennifer Renee Dukes, Dennis Lawerence Stevens II, his son in law, Anthony Dukes, his grandchildren, Brittany Shanae Thornton, Chumani Denzel Johnson, Brendon Maxwell Cummings, Sa’Bren Rakira Dukes, Sabastian Anthony Dukes, and Legend Locklear Cummings, his brothers, Donald Stevens, David Stevens, and Charles Smith, as well as his nieces and nephews, aunts, relatives and a host of friends who loved him dearly.
