Dennis Andrews Obituary

Mr. Dennis Ray Andrews, 69, departed this life on Monday, March 9, 2026 at UNC-Southeastern Hospital. He was born on December 19,1956, to the late Henry Alton & Myrtle Rose Andrews in Lumberton, NC.

He is preceded in death by both his parents and his brother, Wayne Andrews.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Melody; his daughters, Renee Andrews of Dillon, SC; bonus son - Johnny Hyatt, Allison Andrews of the home; bonus son – Adrain Hammonds; grandchildren, Laiken Barnes & Kaylee Barnes; great-grandson, Jakota Barnes; bonus-daughters, Jeannine Allen, Miranda Bennett-Russell, & Bobbie Jo Hunt; his sisters, Gwendolyn Rose Andersen and Betty Fardoulis; his brother, Alton (Al) Andrews, Jr. and a host of family and friends.

Dennis cared deeply for his family and always made those around him feel valued and supported. He had a giving heart and a way of bringing comfort and laughter to his family and friends.

His greatest loves were spoiling his wife and girls, watching his favorite basketball team -the UNC Tar Heels, talking about his experiences serving in the 82nd Airborne, and his passion was playing golf. He truly enjoyed being out on the course, whether it was the challenge of the game, the quiet moments outdoors or the time spent with his golfing buddies. Golf brought him happiness and relaxation, and it was something he looked forward to whenever he had the chance to play. He will always be remembered for his love, dedication to his family and the joy he found in the simple things – especially a good day on the golf course. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
