With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Deandra Raquel Flores, who departed this life on February 15, 2025, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Deandra was born on October 11, 1984, in Lodi, California, to her loving mother, Belinda Hammonds-Rose, and the late Pete Flores.

Deandra carried a light within her that shined brightest in the love she gave to her family. Her laughter, her compassion, and her generous spirit will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Lea Flores, her niece, Mara Elizabeth Flores, her father, Pete Flores, and her beloved grandparents, Ball and Ruby Hammonds of Lumberton and Ramon and Rita Flores of California.

Though our hearts ache at her passing, Deandra’s legacy lives on through the love she leaves behind. She is survived by her parents, Pastor Kim Rose and Belinda Hammonds -Rose, and her cherished children: Isabella Cope, Jason Cope, Kenneth Cope, Ruby Cope, Karson Cope, Matthew Cope and Raelea Flores. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Layonna West, Layton West, and Kaulder Cope. Deandra is also survived by her devoted siblings: Candance Hammonds, Sasha Dawson, Kymberly Rose Locklear, Byron Hammonds, PJ Flores, Jaron Rose, Michelle Garcia and Petey Flores, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

A service to honor and celebrate Deandra’s life will be held on February 22, 2025, at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton, NC. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Earney Hammonds.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Deandra’s love and laughter will remain in our hearts always. May she rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before her, as she watches over those she loved so deeply.
