Mr. David Boyd Carter, 94, of Lumberton, NC, was born April 16, 1925 and departed this life for his heavenly home on November 1, 2019 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie R. Carter; mother, Mandy Chavis Carter; father, Dave Carter; four sisters, Lucille Thompson, Aggie Burnett, Caroline Locklear and Claire Mae Carter; three brothers, Wade Carter, Thomas Carter and Jeff Carter; and two grandsons, Thomas Bradley Carter and Eric Oxendine.
Mr. Carter leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Vivian Carter Oxendine, Katie Linda Carter and Redonna Carter; one son, William Boyd Carter; two brothers, Robert Elsie Carter and Elvert Carter; ten grandchildren, Kimberly O. Locklear, Jason A. Oxendine, Lynette Oxendine, Angela O. Kahn, Candy C. Babb, William Boyd Carter Jr., David Boyd Carter II, and Kris Carter; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; his faithful family companion, Roxy Carter and a host of relatives and friends.
