David Earl Locklear graced this earth with his birth September 27, 1961. God with his infinite wisdom, called David from labor to rest with a transition on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. 

David attended the public schools of Robeson County.  Additionally, he attended Robeson Community College majoring in Electrical Installation. As a result, he provided professional services to many residential and commercial properties. David‘s top~of~the~list favorite color was peach; he took pride in his appearance, always sharp and ready, trying to look nice!  He enjoyed entertainment such as watching NASCAR races, activities such as cooking and taking strolls around the home front in the morning, noon and evening for exercise. DAVID served as a mentor to many young men and helped them as much as he possibly could in many areas of their life. Our David is no longer physically present, but he is very dear to so many remaining ones.  We shall continue to embrace his energy as he touched so many lives. His memories are indelibly~etched in our hearts and  shall forever serve US well as he is still loved and still missed.

In addition to being preceded in death by his parents: Mother Margie Doris Johnson Oxendine Locklear ~and~ Father Bongue Ease Locklear, he was also preceded in death by his Sister Betty Jane Locklear.

David Earl Locklear leaves cherishing everlasting memories of love and affection to his lovely, dedicated and Devoted Wife: Dianne Sampson Locklear;  Three Children: One Daughter: Asia Ianna Cyrus, Two sons:  Matthew Adam Locklear,  Alan Michael Locklear;  Four Grandchildren:  Dezamiya Braelynn Alana Smith,  Cainyn Avery Smith,   Legion Lee Locklear,   LaKiya Ann Locklear;   One Nephew:  *Rocky Sampson & Family;  Three nieces (great):  Dr. Brandy L. McKinney (Tandarae, Stevie, Cross, Axel),  Nyema D. Sampson, Shyena J Sampson(A’Reya & Ayda);  Two Brother-in-laws:  Quinn Sampson,  Earl Sampson; One Sister-in-law:  *Audrey Sampson;  One Daughter-in-law:  *Juanita Henderson;  One Son-in-law:  *Steven Testerman.
