Clyde Locklear Jr.

     Clyde Locklear, Jr., 74 of Maxton, NC, was born June 27, 1949, in Robeson Co. to the late Clyde & Lucille Jacobs Locklear, and departed this life on August 26, 2023, at home.  Clyde is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Bonnie Lou Woods Locklear.

     Clyde leaves to cherish his memories, five sons, Eugene Locklear, (Iomi) of Pembroke, NC, Brian Locklear (China) of Maxton, NC, Bruce Vail Locklear of California, Patrick Locklear (Beverly) of Pembroke, NC and Chad Locklear of the home; four brothers, Jeff Locklear of Rowland, Ronald Locklear (Brenda), Jerry Locklear (Ella), Kenneth Locklear (Vanessa) all of Maxton; two sisters Theresa Locklear of Maxton and Cynthia Jones (Jerry) of Florence, SC; 9 Grandchildren, 24 Greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews he loved.

     Brother Clyde Pastored at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church, Christian Mission Church on John’s Road, Riverside Memorial Methodist Church and Restoration Ministries on Hwy 710 N. Pembroke, NC. 

     Thanks to a very special friend and family member, Bro. Herman Jacobs, who enjoyed playing music together with him.
