Bishop Cleo Norton was born on June 12, 1941, to the late John and Flonnie Bell Norton. Bishop Norton changed addresses on May 19. 2025 surrounded by a host of family, completing his earthly journey of 83 years. Bishop Norton was a devoted minister for 51 years where he served as the founder and leader of Faith Fellowship Holiness Church in Fairmont, NC, during his final years of ministry.
Along with his parents, Bishop Cleo Norton is preceded in death by loving his wife of 55 years, Doris Maynor Norton; three brothers, Bobby Norton, JC Norton, and Lindsey Norton; one sister, Bonnie Norton; one son-in-love, James P. Oxendine and one granddaughter, Victoria Hammonds.
He leaves to continue his life, his wife, Loretta Hunt Norton of the home, and he leaves to continue his legacy two sons, Freddie (Janine) and Michael (Catasha) Norton; two daughters Cassandra Oxendine and Elizabeth (Emery) Seymour; two grandsons, Frederick (Kelsey), and Mykiah; six granddaughters, Tiffany, Franchesca, Danielle, Santana, Savannah, and Michelia; six great grandsons, Julius, Frederick, Elisha, Preston, Zachery, and Christian; five granddaughters, Kinley, Julia, Ariyah, Skylar and Dayla. In addition to his grandchildren the Lord blessed him with two step grandchildren, Michael and Matosha; two step daughters, Veronica and Monica Locklear; three step granddaughters, Leanna, Deanna, and Mohanna; three step grandsons, Da’Montay, Jakobi and Michael; one brother, John Norton; two sisters, Marie (Jimmy) Hall, and Emilean(Johnny) Hall, and host of family and friends.
