Ms. Christy Lynn Waltman, age 49, was born on April 12, 1976, and departed this life on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Wesley Waltman; her brother, Rory Austin Waltman; her maternal grandmother, Eula Mae Dial Noriega; her maternal grandfather, Cleno Jefferson; and her paternal grandparents, Wesley and Lela Waltman; a niece Jenna Lynn Oxendine; two uncles Katen (Judy) and Wallace (Belinda) Waltman; and two aunts Connie and Rossetta Waltman.

Ms. Waltman is survived by her loving mother, Clenora Waltman Lowery of Maxton, North Carolina; two brothers, Whitney Waltman (Latesha) of Maxton and Jeremiah Eli Lowery of Maxton; and one sister, Joy Marie Jefferson of Maxton.

She is also survived by her aunts, Paula Wilson (Marty), Ramona Jones, Nita Cummings (Timmy), and Rosa Noriega; uncles Tony Noriega and Delton Waltman (Robin); Brian Waltman (Ginger); and a host of other relatives and friends.

Christy Waltman was a kind, loving, and compassionate woman who meant so much to her family and to everyone who knew her. She had a gentle spirit and a caring heart, and she showed her love through quiet strength and selflessness. Christy had a special love for animals and was devoted to her many dogs and cats, caring for them as cherished members of her family. Her warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
