Mrs. Carolyn Speights, 71, of Robeson County, was born in Robeson County on March 24, 1954 to Thomas and Louise Britt, and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Luther Britt, “TL”, her mother, Louise G. Britt, and her brother, Haynes Thomas Britt, “HT”.

Carolyn worked at Gerber for 35+ years. After retiring from Gerber she went back to school and became a CNA. Being a CNA was the job she was meant to do. She was loved by all her patients and she cared for them well. She loved to garden, as well as canning and preserving all the produce she grew. Carolyn loved nothing more than to cook and eat, but she also loved to see people enjoy the food she prepared.

Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband, Donald Ray Speights, two sons, Timothy Pittman (Lajaune), of Fayetteville, NC, Tommy Pittman (Shelly), of Lagrange, NC, a step-son, Jeremy Speights, of Lumberton, NC, six grandchildren, Caleb, Madison, Makalyn, Christian, Noah and Elizabeth, (Izzie), a brother, Royce Britt (Shonda), three sisters, Helen Clewis, Wanda Gore (Tony), Denise Johnson (David), and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
