Carol Locklear

Carol Jones Locklear, 61, of Pembroke, NC, was born on November 22, 1964 and departed this life on June 18, 2026.

Carol was a devoted Christian, a hard-working woman, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She dedicated her life to her faith, her home, and her family. Her kindness, strength and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Carol’s greatest joy came from caring for those she loved and creating a warm and welcoming home filled with faith and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewell Brayboy Scott; her stepfather, Willie Scott; and her sister, Teresa Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Donald Locklear; her daughter, Lashana Locklear (Carlos); son: Christopher Locklear (Tabitha) and Justin Locklear (Elizabeth); her father James Roman Jones; her sisters, Sandy Jones (Sherman), Peggy Hunt, and Delisa Locklear; her brothers, James Jones Jr. (Bridget), James Parker (Shenika), and Larry Hunt. Her nephew, Branjer (Chrissy); and her nieces, Brooke (Raymond), Lynda, Ynez and Tiffany; 13 grandchildren: Zoei, Zane, Aubree, Jolon, Levi, Liam, Logan, Addie, Cat, Breona, John, Courtney, and Ethan; and a great-grandchild, Kylin.

Carol’s memory will also be treasured by her special friends, Flora Oxendine, Arlene Locklear and Cynthia Jones, along with a host of church family, relatives and friends whose lives were blessed by her presence.

Though her earthly journey has ended, Carol’s legacy of faith, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
