Bobby Wilson Revels, “Uncle Bob”, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2022. He was born May 18, 1940 in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late Eddie and Debur Revels.
Bobby was married to Lucille Brayboy for 34 years and resided in Rockville, Maryland, until their retirement and their move home to Pembroke, North Carolina. Bob loved his country and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Bob retired with the federal government’s National Institute of Health as a high voltage electrician nearly twenty-five years. He was a faithful member of Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Brayboy Revels; his parents Eddie and Debur Revels; three brothers Marion, John and Osceola; three sisters, Ruth, Virginia Lee and Pearline. He is survived by his sister Willie Ree Chavis, a special niece Brenda Faye Maynor and a special nephew Ronnie Revels, who were raised like his siblings. Although Bob did not have any children, he was a father figure and “Uncle Bob” to many nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Special thanks to Charity Revels, his niece-in-law for keeping him looking sharp and holding his pocketbook.
On behalf of Uncle Bob’s family, we thank all of you for loving and caring for him, and his neighbors for always lending a hand. His faith and commitment to God gave him strength to endure his last two years.
